In the early days of his career NAB provided Don with excellent training that built on his university studies to give him a complex understanding of residential and commercial lending industries. He quickly rose to management and held several managerial roles with NAB in business banking across south east Queensland over a period of nine years.
The ending to Don’s 18-year career with NAB hinged on his approach toward looking after his clients. Don believed in forming creative solutions to give his clients the financial ability to achieve their goals and passions.
As NAB’s lending policies became more black and white Don wasn’t able to offer his clients the flexibility and opportunities that he thought they deserved. He quite quickly grew tired of turning away good people with strong financial futures, simply because they didn’t meet bank policy. In 2003 Don decided that he wanted to make the move to work for his clients— rather than the bank’s bottom line.
After leaving the NAB, Don established All About Loans and became an accredited finance broker. Don is an accredited Mortgage Consultant with MFAA (Mortgage Federation Association of Australia), a member of CIO (Credit & Investments Ombudsman) and AFG (Australian Finance Group), while also holding his own Australian Credit Licence.
Over the last 13 years Don has focused on building a business that puts its clients first. He relishes the freedom that he has now with an extensive lender panel which allows him to form outside the square funding solutions and give his clients flexibility and choice.
Ultimately Don’s passion is for helping people to grow financially, and he is grateful that his experience, industry connections and wealth of knowledge allow him to achieve this.
